Rental Requirements

We take rentals seriously. These requirements protect you, protect us, and ensure equipment comes back in good shape for the next customer.

Government-Issued Photo ID

A valid government-issued photo ID is required — driver's license, passport, or provincial ID. Front and back must be uploaded with your application.

🔞

Must Be 18 or Older

All renters must be 18 years of age or older. No exceptions. Age is verified against your submitted ID before pickup is approved.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is held at time of rental. Amount varies by equipment (Call for quote–Call for quote). Returned in full when equipment is returned undamaged and on time.

Emergency Contact

A second contact person's name and phone number is required. This person is contacted if we cannot reach you regarding your rental.

Signed Rental Agreement

All renters must sign our rental agreement confirming responsibility for the equipment. This covers damage, loss, and late return policies.

Return on Time

Equipment must be returned by the agreed time. Late returns are charged at the daily rate per additional day. Equipment not returned within 48 hours may be reported as stolen.

  • 🔴 Equipment must only be used for lawful purposes. Any misuse voids your deposit.
  • 🔴 Renter is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft during the rental period.
  • 🔴 Equipment may not be sublet, loaned, or transferred to another person.
  • 🔴 Do not exceed weight capacity limits — overloading causes equipment failure and injury.
  • 🔴 Pallet jacks are for flat hard surfaces only — not gravel, mud, grass, or ramps over 10°.
  • 🔴 Your photo ID information is stored securely and used solely for rental verification.

5. Rental Agreement

By submitting this form, you agree to the following:

  • I am 18 years of age or older and the information I have provided is accurate and truthful.
  • I am solely responsible for the equipment during the rental period, including any damage, loss, or theft.
  • Equipment must be returned by the agreed return date. Late returns will be charged at the daily rate.
  • I will not exceed the weight capacity of any rented equipment.
  • I will not sublet, loan, or transfer the equipment to any other person.
  • Horizon Moving reserves the right to refuse rental to any applicant.
  • A security deposit will be collected before equipment is released. This is refunded upon undamaged, on-time return.
  • Equipment not returned within 48 hours beyond the agreed date may be reported to authorities as stolen.
